The Midwest Center for Human Services, L.L.P., (MCHS) is a certified mental health clinic established in 1973. MCHS is dedicated to providing quality psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, addressing life problems, mental health concerns, domestic violence and substance abuse issues. Psychotherapy services are offered in English and Spanish.

Our licensed therapists help in identifying problem areas, setting goals, and facilitating change. Our therapists have specialized training and expertise, enabling them to work effectively with a variety of concerns.

Psychotherapy is the process by which therapists and clients work together to combine the clients’ understanding of themselves and their problems with the therapists’ knowledge and experience in order to resolve problems and reach desired goals. People sometimes enter therapy when their lives are quite good, but believe life could be better. Numerous studies indicate psychotherapy is effective in the treatment and resolution of a variety of emotional and interpersonal problems, as well as in promoting personal growth and life change.

Problems for which psychotherapy can be particularly helpful include emotional problems (such as depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma), behavioral problems (including aggression, compulsions, addictions, and sexual performance) and relationship problems (for instance partner/marital, family, and friendships). Psychotherapy can also help people navigate life changes and reach goals for self-improvement.
